Started in 1903, the first Harley bike was manufactured by two popular names, William Harley and Arthur Davidson. They created it in a tiny 10 foot by 15 foot wooden shed situated at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Just a year after, Harley-Davidson Dealership was formally introduced, with its first bike sold to Henry Meyer in Wisconsin.
Although Harley Davidson’s racing department was created in 1913, as early as 1905, a Harley motorcycle already won a race. By 1910, a good number of Harleys joined competitions, ranging from lap races, endurance competitions, and hill climbing races. In every race, the Harley ended as the very first place, so that inspired Harley-Davidson to open up its official racing department.
