Back in the 60’s and 70’s, in the day of the muscle cars, 15 inch wheels were a sign that you had the best. On the other hand, 17 inch wheels were unheard of in those days. Nowadays 15 inch wheels are available on a lot of base models vehicles. 13 and 14 inch wheels used to be the base wheels.

A motorcycle is two wheeled motor vehicle that is powered. Motorcycles fall under three categories. They are the street bikes, the off-road motorcycles and the dual purpose motorcycles. Street bikes are the ones that are found on the roads used for transportation. There are again different types of street bikes such as mopeds, sport bikes, cruisers and scooters. The off-road motorcycles are those that are designed for the purpose of motor racing. These are legally not permitted to transport people. Two German inventors, Wilhelm Maybach and Gottlieb Daimler, developed the motorcycle in 1885. Motorcycle has since then become a very well-liked mode of transport. Motorcycles have become the preferred motor vehicle in a number of countries. Vietnam, China, India and Indonesia are known to have more motorcycles than other means of transport. Even in countries as the United States, the sales of motorcycles are increasing. The popularity of motorcycles over other means of transport has a number of valid reasons. The city traffic has become a nightmare with the traffic moving at a snail’s pace and prone to frequent traffic jams. It is easy for the motorcycles to squeeze its way through. There is a long distance that people have to travel daily to get to their work place. Parking is not permitted in most public spaces. Parking lots are over crowded. Driving a vehicle has become costly. There are so many toll taxes to be paid, besides the road tax, congestion charges and parking fees. Motorcycles become practical in city traffic. They are easily maneuverable, have better fuel economy and pay lesser charges.
